The Commercial Developer will respond to inbound leads, generate new business and develop, present, and close proposals for SMB and mid-market commercial solar systems varying in size. Outcomes Close a commercial deal within the first 3 months Successfully close several deals per month in order to achieve Sungevity’s commercial sales quota Generate proposals, quotes, formal RFP responses and close deals within Sungevity’s established average sale cycle Close PPA and turnkey EPC contracts for SMB and mid-market commercial solar projects ranging in size Consistently generate opportunities each month through lead generation, marketing programs, and cold calling Ensure high quality project delivery to clients by working collaboratively with Operations during pre/post project development Competencies Self-starter - sufficiently motivated without the help of others Excellent communicator - speaks and writes clearly and articulately Persistent - demonstrates tenacity and willingness to go the distance to meet goals Problem Solver – determines opportunities and threats through comprehensive analysis of current and future trends Adaptive - ability to work effectively in ambiguous or changing situations within diverse internal department Results Driven - accomplish goals in the most efficient, expedient, and simplistic ways Diversity & Inclusion- The ability to account for one's own and other's world views and identify opportunities, make decisions, and resolve conflicts in ways that optimizes differences for better, longer lasting, and more creative solutions Skillsets Knowledge of solar tariffs and rate schedule modeling, and the ability to communicate these esoteric concepts to interested customers Familiarity with formal project management methodologies and ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings a plus Successful track record in a complex sales environment—solar, technical, construction and/or financial products with mid-to-long sales cycles Ability to use industry standard solar tariff modeling and proposal tools (preference for OnGrid, HelioScope, Excel, and others) Understanding of finance / business concepts (NPV, ROI, IRR) Experience with Salesforce Compensation and Benefits We pride ourselves on offering the most competitive compensation package in the industry.
