Control Engineer - Renewable Energy
£30,000 - £45,000 (D.O.E) plus benefits

We are currently seeking to recruit a Control Systems Engineer / Control Engineer / EC&I Engineer, to carry out a variety of control systems engineering & maintenance activities (PLC programming, fault finding, installations, commissioning, etc.) of a range of advanced plant/biogas/anaerobic digestion equipment throughout East Anglia area. Our client is a leading biogas plant operating organisation in the Renewable Energy sector in the UK.
As a Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation activities
- Field service maintenance on plant control systems
- Installation & commissioning of control equipment
- Assisting in the design of control systems
- Siemens PLC fault finding and programming (Siemens Step 7 language)
- Other similar duties as required
To be considered for this position, you must have a relevant Control Engineering qualification (time-served apprenticeship, EC&I Apprenticeship, HNC/HND, etc.) and ideally experience working within the Renewable Energy sector (Anaerobic Digestion, Power Generation, Heavy Process). You should have a working knowledge of Siemens PLCs and Siemens Step 7, competent in fault finding and programming, and be open to travelling around the East Anglia to Yorkshire area in a field based role.
The package on offer for this position includes a salary in the range of £30,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience and qualifications), and benefits including pension, holidays, bonus, etc. This is a field based role within the engineering team, and a full UK driving licence is essential.
