Electrical Engineer - Offshore Wind Farm

£50,000 plus 15% bonus, pension & healthcare
Our client, a leading UK provider of renewable energy, require a qualified Electrical Engineer / Maintenance Engineer to play an integral role in a new O&M maintenance team of a large offshore wind farm.
Responsibilities…Your role will form part of the Wind Farm Operations & Maintenance team to provide service & repair to a fully operational offshore wind farm / wind turbines. Responsible for electrical maintenance of LV (up to 1000AC), the role will involve analysing data, giving technical input & making decisions to protect the offshore assets. A flexible work ethic will be required due to operational environment combined with the highest work standards & with an understanding that you will also help ensure compliance with all H&S requirements.
Skills and Experience...To be considered for this position you will need to have an Electrical Qualification (prefer to degree or equivalent experience), & have a track record in power generation or heavy engineering with a passion for the wind industry. You should also be used to managing contractors & working offshore, although not necessarily in the wind sector.
A full driving licence is essential for this role. Based in Colchester, Essex, this role is commutable from Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich & you must live, or be prepared to live within an hour from the site.
