Our client, a leading company working within the power generation sector, currently require an Electrical Technician / Maintenance Technician / Field Service Engineer to join their team. This is a field based position covering multiple sites across the Midlands & East Anglia areas and you'll be responsible for carrying out repairs and maintenance on electrical generation plant.
As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out the day-to-day servicing, maintenance and reactive breakdown repair activities on all power and electricity generation plant on the sites within your region. This will include working on high voltage (HV) equipment of up to 33kV, along with having involvement working on the PLCs, controls and instrumentation on site.
In order to be considered for this Electrical Maintenance Technician position, you will need to have proven experience in a similar role and hold a relevant electrical engineering qualification (apprenticeship / HNC / HNC / NVQ / City & Guilds etc.) along with having 17th Edition. You will also need experience in installation, repair and maintenance of electrical plant up to 33kV, ideally with a background in a heavy industry / forces / Royal Navy / power generation / landfill gas (LFG) etc. sector.
As this is a field based role, you will need to hold a full UK driving licence and be happy to travel as required.
