Electrical Technician - Renewable Energy
£28,000 - £32,000 plus benefits
We are currently seeking to recruit an Electrical Technician / Operations & Maintenance Technician / Maintenance Technician, to conduct service, maintenance & operational activities on a state-of-the-art 24/7 process plant which provides renewable power to local surrounding areas. Our client is a leading proponent of renewable electrical power generation, designing & building turnkey Anaerobic Digestion Biogas plants throughout the UK.
As the Operations & Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Service & maintenance activities on the biogas plant & ancillary plants
- Safe & efficient operation of the plant
- Ensuring maintenance tasks are carried out within defined budgets
- Ensuring compliance with all health & safety & legal requirements
- Other duties as required
To be considered for this position, you should have relevant experience working on process plant or large engines / plant / utilities, perhaps from being a Marine Engineer or ex-Army / Royal Navy background. IT literacy is important & a relevant electrical engineering qualification, preferably at apprenticeship or HNC level would be required, plus 17th Edition certified.
This is a permanent position based in the Newark area; due to the location of the plant you will need a full UK driving licence to access the site. This role is based on working 5 in 7 days, you will also make up part of a 1 in 3 call out rota.
The package on offer for this position includes a basic salary in the range of £28,000 - £32,000, plus company benefits.
