Job Description

Our client is a world renowned Renewable Energy conglomerate in London looking to hire a high caliber Electro-Mechanical Systems Engineer paying a competitive salary of £40,000-50,000 per annum + 10% bonus + amazing benefits package.

Reporting into the Lead Engineer, you will be performing analysis and assist the development and implementation of maintenance strategies and solutions geared at optimizing the operation life and yield of the Wind Farm.

Electro-Mechanical Systems Engineer duties and responsibilities:
* Support development of advanced reporting tools allowing automated data-mining, analysis and preventative maintenance strategies
* Using data mining and trend analysis identify and classify issues resulting from defective manufacture, assembly, installation, commissioning or maintenance of major components
* Use analytical and statistical tools to mine data and identify trends, use the data to perform detailed analysis create reports of individual WTG or whole park performance
* Accurately identify the causes of recurrent issues and deliver detailed root cause analysis
* Identify and recommend innovative, cost effective solutions
* Liaise with other technical experts from WTG OEM and other Service Providers
* Develop validation test and implementation plans for proposed solutions
* Report on all elements of asset and operational performance
* Support the implementation of a structured introduction of a systematic approach to Asset Management and the development of strategy and reporting

Electro-Mechanical Systems Engineer desired experience:
* Honours degree qualified in an engineering discipline, ideally mechatronics, mechanical or electrical engineering, and working towards chartered status
* 5 years+ in development, production or process control environment working as a systems, analysis, development, validation, reliability or production engineer responsible for the delivery of RCA and/or technical solutions to component, system or process issues, and reporting on the condition and performance of rotating machines
* Ability to demonstrate significant experience and knowledge of two or more of a wind turbines major component technologies (aerofoils, large bearings, distribution transformers, mechanical transmissions, generators, rotating equipment, power conversion systems, high voltage switchgear, offshore foundations) would be a major advantage
* Experience of the use of data handling and analysis systems and solutions and or CMMS systems is an advantage
