Engine Maintenance Technician

Salary - £25,000-£29,000 DoE + Vehicle & Benefits

Location- Telford

ASTUTE Technical are currently looking to speak to Engine Maintenance Technicians/ Engineers/ Site Engineers. Our client is one of the UK's leading providers of power generation from landfill gases and require a Mobile Engine Maintenance Technician to carry out maintenance and repairs on LFG engines and ancillary equipment in the Telford and Dudley area.

General responsibilities as Engine Technician:

  • Maintain landfill gas reciprocating engines such as Caterpillar, Perkins, Jenbacher, Deutz etc.
  • Carry out planned and preventative maintenance on associated heavy plant such as pumps, air compressors, motors, generators etc.
  • Ensure the site is running at optimum efficiency
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulation

The ideal candidate will be Apprenticeship trained or have a relevant qualification (HND/ HNC/ NVQ L3 etc.). you will have prior relevant experience in maintaining mechanical plant / utilities & have a landfill gas, anaerobic digestion, CHP, Marine Engineering or Services background.

A full UK driving licence is essential to this position. Salary £25,000-29,000 depending on experience plus company vehicle and benefits.
