Engine Maintenance Technician - Renewable Energy
Up to £40,000 incl. overtime plus benefits

We are currently seeking to recruit an Engine Technician / Engine Maintenance Technician / Field Service Engineer, to carry out planned & reactive maintenance on a range of Natural Gas Engines / CHP Engines / Biogas Engines across the UK. Our client is a leading organisation within the renewable energy sector, with the opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team.
As an Engine Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Routine & planned maintenance (PPM) and overhauls on large gas engines.
- Electrical troubleshooting and fault finding using engine & PLC control systems.
- Working as part of a team of Engineers, ensuring safe & efficient operation of the generating plant.
- Providing technical support to resolve mechanical & electrical faults.
- Ensuring health & safety is adhered to at all times
- Other duties as required
To be considered for this position, you must have a relevant Electrical / Mechanical Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship / HNC / HND, etc.). You should have experience carrying out maintenance on large reciprocating gas engines (Caterpillar, Perkins, Deutz, Jenbacher, Wartsila, or similar).
This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a large company within the Renewable Energy sector. This is a field-based position covering a number of sites across the UK, therefore a full UK driving licence is essential. You must also be able to travel overseas for training as and when required.
The package on offer for this role includes a salary in of up to £40,000 (inclusive of overtime) depending on experience, plus company benefits including van, pension & holidays.
