Graduate Engineer - Solar PV Project Management – Reading, UK, £18.500 - £19.500k per annum, with likely 3-month-long internship period
 
The opportunity

One of the UK’s leading and most respected installers of commercial Solar PV solutions are seeking for a hardworking and enthusiastic graduate to assist their project engineers in design and project management tasks.
 
The successful candidate will undergo a one-year-long Graduate Training Programme which will get him involved in the work of the Sales, Project Management, Finance, and Logistics teams on a rotational basis.
 
This is a permanent role with a possible trail/internship period with a maximum duration of 3 months.
 
The role

We are looking for an Electrical, Mechanical or Renewable Energy Engineering graduate who has obtained his degree within the last 2 years.

Initially you will be rotating between different departments of the company but your work will be focused mostly on design and project management tasks within the solar PV project management team.

In addition to that, you might be asked to accompany staff on site visits, answer customer enquiries over the phone, and conduct research. The role is varied and will allow you to experience all aspects of the solar PV installation business.

The person

You are a recent graduate in Electrical, Mechanical or Renewable Energy Engineering and you have an interest in developing a career in the low carbon sector.

We are looking for a team-player who is fluent in English and has strong communication skills.

Essential requirements:

  • MEng/BEng in Electrical/Mechanical/Renewable Energy Engineering;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Fluency in English;
  • Proficiency in MS Office;
  • Interest in the renewable energy sector.

Desirable:

  • Experience with AutoCAD, Solidworks, or similar drawings package;
  • Prior work experience in the renewable energy sector.

Remuneration

Salary in the range of £18,500 - £19,500 per annum. During a trial/internship period, the candidate will be getting the living wage for a maximum period of 3 months.
