Graduate Marketing Executive – Technical Sales – District Heating Systems – South East – office-based - £25,000 p.a. + commission
 
The opportunity

One of the leading providers of full-service packages for Communal/District Heating systems in the UK, who has been on the market for the past 12 years, is looking to take on a Graduate Marketing Executive to join them at their office in Surrey.
 
This is the ideal opportunity for a recent Geography/Renewable Energy/Engineering graduate who is technically savvy, commercially oriented, and has gained some sales/marketing experience already to launch their career in the energy and heating systems sector.
 
The role

The Graduate Marketing Executive will assist the Directors and the Area Sales Engineers in increasing the sales activity within the company by contacting new and existing clients over the phone, via e-mail and social media.
 
His tasks will involve the booking of appointments, lead generating, tracking of sales opportunities, quotation follow up and up selling, database maintenance, conducting of telephone, e-mail and social media based sales campaigns.
 
The person

The successful candidate will possess a Geography/Renewable Energy/Engineering degree or similar, coupled with business-to-business sales/marketing experience gained whilst at or after university, ideally within the building services industry.

He should be technically savvy, commercially oriented, and comfortable with using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

He must possess an excellent telephone manner and communication skills – the Marketing Executive will be contacting and maintaining relationships with Mechanical Design Engineers and Consultants.

Essential requirements:

  • Geography/Renewable Energy/Engineering degree or similar;
  • Experience in B2B sales/marketing;
  • Excellent telephone manner;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Confident user of MS Word, Excel and Outlook;
  • Technically savvy - able to absorb and interpret technical product knowledge.

Desirable:

  • Experience in, or exposure to, the building services industry.

Remuneration

£25,000 p.a. + commission
