Lead Maintenance Technician - Landfill Gas
£34,000 - £38,000 plus van, pension, holidays

We are currently seeking to recruit a Lead Maintenance Technician / Senior Engine Maintenance Technician / Field Service Engineer, to lead a team of technicians in routine maintenance & overhauls on a range of Landfill Gas Engines plants across the North region. Our client is a leading organisation within the renewable energy sector, with the opportunity for a Lead Technician to join their team.
As an Engine Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Leading a team of technicians in routine & major maintenance on Landfill Gas sites (overhaul, de-coking, fault finding, repair)
- Ensuring safe & efficient operation of the generating plant
- Overseeing repairs/overhauls on site to ensure minimum downtime
- Ensuring health & safety and safe systems of work are followed
- Identifying requirements for planned maintenance and defect rectification to maximise asset utilisation
- Other duties as required
To be considered for this position, you must have a relevant Mechanical Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship/HNC/HND, etc.). You should have experience carrying out maintenance on large reciprocating engines (Caterpillar, Perkins, Deutz, Jenbacher, Wartsila, or similar). Those with landfill gas experience would be advantageous.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a leading competitor within the Renewable Energy sector. This is a field based position covering a number of sites across the North region, covering Manchester, Sheffield & Scotland, therefore a full UK driving licence is essential.
The package on offer for this role includes a salary in the range of £34,000 - £38,000 (depending on experience), plus company van, pension, holidays.
