Job Title - Maintenance Technician
Location - Essex
Salary - £35,000 - £37,500
Our client is one of the leading Waste Management and Resource specialists within Europe and as such are seeking two experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Technicians to join the existing team on their iconic Plastics Facility in the Essex area.

As Maintenance technician you will be responsible for supporting the Lead Engineers in ensuring that the Plastics Recycling Facility is operating at maximum production capacity by minimising down time and ensuring completion of the site PPM plans.
As Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for, but not limited too;
Assisting with preventing plant breakdowns by completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM), ensuring that the risk of downtime is kept to a minimum ultimately assisting in maximising profit and revenue.
Completing planning and scheduling all of maintenance aspects of the plant, minimising disruption to operations and maximising uptime and availability.
Carrying out planned and breakdown maintenance on a variety of plant and apparatus including Conveyors, baling equipment, Low Voltage equipment, motors, gearbox, mechanical drives, material handling equipment, plant auxiliaries, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical and optical, magnetic and Eddy current separation technology etc.
Complete all relevant paperwork and reports to the required standard. To inspect work area and equipment for deficiencies, hazards, and malfunctions. Report all discrepancies and any unsafe act or working condition to supervisory personnel.
The Ideal Candidate
As the ideal candidate you will have City & Guilds or NVQ level 3 in mechanical and electrical maintenance, or a recognised formal apprenticeship, would be preferable.
You will have experience in processing waste, plastics, manufacturing or production industry.
As the ideal candidate you will have a comprehensive practical experience in maintenance within a process industry, preferably gained in a recycling environment.
As an individual you will be enthusiastic and competent problem solver with a practical approach to engineering problems.
