Lead a well invested solar development company backed by a NASDAQ listed international solar group to exploit the huge potential of the Australian solar energy market.
The firm enjoy ready access to substantial funds and are actively targeting grid connected utility scale projects and commercial rooftops, as well as merchant projects in Australia from offices in Sydney, NSW.
You will build and lead a high calibre team securing pre-consented project rights and driving the projects through the development cycle, up to and through commissioning/ construction.
The solar development co is part of an international group with deep financial expertise and a successful track record of leveraging and generating capital in growth markets including successful IPOs.
The firm will also act as co-development partner, essentially providing the financial muscle and expertise to smaller early stage developers.
You're a high calibre, project development professional with excellent leadership skills and well-rounded experience in renewable energy project development, specifically within large scale solar PV.
You're a natural deal maker with an entrepreneurial approach, high levels of drive and tenacity and you enjoy leading high performing teams from the front.
Your experience is broad based and even if you are unfamiliar with the nuances of the Australian market, you will instinctively recognise the opportunities for growth and find solutions for the various challenges of developing large scale projects - funding, consenting, connectivity, etc
You're already in Australia, or if not, you're able to commit to relocating to Sydney.
Either way, you'll be excited by a new challenge and comfortable working in a small team where the ability to be self sufficient is key (it's not a large corporate with an extended support structure).
- Extensive renewable energy project development and team management experience.
- Energised by leading high performing teams.
- High calibre (very likely Bachelors or Masters level) with strong technical and commercial affinity.
- Expert knowledge of financing, contract negotiation, PPAs, grid connection, acquisition and disposal of projects.
- Highly developed communication skills with fluency in English (native standard)
- Ability to work full time in Sydney with frequent travel within Australia and potentially beyond.
A highly attractive gross earnings package will be offered to attract the best candidates. Including a competitive basic salary and the opportunity to share in the upside of successful projects and or, an IPO.
Likely gross package range is $240,000 - $320,000 AUS + bonus, plus equity carry, plus relocation support if required.
