Mechanical Fitter - Industrial
Salary - up to £24,700 + (OTE £25,900)

ASTUTE Technical are currently looking to speak to mechanically biased Maintenance Fitters / Fabricators / Technicians with a background in industrial maintenance.
Our client are leaders in food waste collection and disposal through the anaerobic digestion process.
They are looking for a Technician/Fitter to carry out repairs and maintenance on the plants industrial equipment as well as some facilities maintenance.
General responsibilities will include:
- Helping to reduce downtime and optimise production outputs through ensuring the plant is running smoothly
- Repairing, installing and maintaining pumps, pipework, inverters, motors, hydraulics/pneumatic, offices and general site repairs etc.
- Improvement activities
- 6S of production plant area
- Working as part of a small team
- Planning preventative maintenance (PPM)
To be considered for this position, you will need a background maintaining or fitting/fabrication on industrial equipment/plant.
You will have a mechanical bias with a basic electrical knowledge. Possess a HND/NVQ/BTEC/Apprenticeship in a relevant engineering/fitter/craft qualification. Prior experience in the recycling/anaerobic digestion/materials recycling facilities/waste water sectors would be advantageous.
This position offers an hourly rate of £9.50 (£24,700 p.a) including a performance based monthly bonus of £100 bringing the annual salary to £25,900 including company benefits. (7 am - 5 pm Mon-Fri, 50 hour week)
You will need to be available to work 1 Saturday a month (7 am-1 pm) and overtime when required.
