Process Commissioning Engineer

Contract - 6 Months

Location - Scotland

Rate - £Neg P/D

We are recruiting a Process Commissioning Engineer for a AD plant currently being built in Scotland. The role consists of supporting members of the commissioning team in planning for process start up and testing/optimisation through to writing takeover (Commissioning Completion) reports.


Reporting to the Lead Commissioning Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Working with Project Managers/Commissioning Managers and the overall project team to plan and document intentions at an early stage.
  • Developing commissioning plans and manage the carrying out of sampling activities during the testing phase.
  • Carry out process commissioning on site and actively manage the sampling activity, manage the process startup and ensure optimum performance of the plant during trials
  • Ensure all necessary commissioning documentation is completed in a timely manner so that O+M manuals are delivered in a timely manner.


It is essential that candidates can demonstrate appreciable working and theoretical knowledge of Odour Control Systems, Activated Sludge, SBR Reactors, Centrifuges and Digestate materials handling from a AD or Waste Water environement. Also importantly, demonstrating work in a similar capacity on projects of similar size and complexity would be essential.
