Job Description

Project Manager

6-12 Month Contract

London

ASAP Start

Circa £350 Per Day, Limited Company Rate

Our Client offers a range of services to its Clients including design, manufacturing and installation.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of staff and subcontractors working on assigned MECIA projects within the UK water industry
  • Promoting exceptional safety and quality standards to direct and subcontracted workforce
  • Managing the commercial aspects of the project including project expenditure to maximise profitability and productivity
  • Attending site meetings and programme planning
  • Key decision making to ensure any risks are controlled and uncertainty is minimized
  • Planning and delegating the work to meet agreed project deadlines
  • Ordering materials and ensuring these have been delivered to site when required
  • Recruiting and managing effective teams across several disciplines and projects
  • Proactively manage the impact on and protection of the environment
  • Updating site documentation and adhering to agreed systems and processes
  • Building excellent Client relationships, resolving issues and developing new opportunities
  • Undertaking other duties, training and/or hours of work as reasonably required consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree Qualified (or equivalent qualification) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering would be desirable
  • Mechanical or Electrical experience in the UK Water and Waste Water industry
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience of UK water/waste water treatment plants
  • Detailed working knowledge and experience of project management practices from scheme conception through to end user acceptance
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in close partnerships with Clients and end users
  • Delivery driven and used to working to set targets
  • Proven experience of managing and motivating multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects to time, cost and quality objectives
