Senior Technical Analyst - Renewable Energy Asset Management, home-based in the South-West UK (Bristol/Bath area)

Take the lead role in optimising the technical performance of large-scale solar P.V assets. flexible base salary, range c. £40,000 - £55,000.

The role and company

A leading European renewable energy operator is expanding their operation in the UK and Europe, specifically the outsourced asset management services it provides to other power plant owners (banks, funds, investors) who wish to optimize the performance of their investments.

You'll take the lead technical role assessing the performance characteristics of projects subject to commercial bids, advising the business development and commercial teams to support effective contract closure, plus you'll lead on optimisation of assets under management.

You'll be a key player in a lean team working to high standards at a fast pace.

You'll work very closely with the business development team providing technical support at client meetings and providing input to commercial tenders / proposals. In addition you'll work with the commercial team, optimising the financial yield of assets under management contracts.

About you....

This is a senior role and we're looking for significant (probably 5 or more year's) experience in utility scale solar PV gained in an operational, design/development or asset management type background.

You're a real expert in your field with well founded confidence.

You're likely an electrical engineer with really solid knowledge of industrial scale solar PV systems. You'll be familiar with a range of PV modules, invertors and monitoring systems, a background in asset management is highly preferable but not essential.

You'll be comfortable traveling with the role and you'll speak fluent English with excellent written skills.

You're hard working, diligent, ambitious and delivery focused.

You enjoy working in a team environment but are perfectly happy being accountable for your own work.

You're able to travel to meet customers in the UK and in Northern European and you're confident meeting client decision makers.

You enjoy compiling high quality BPO documentation - specifically sales presentations, proposals / RFPs etc.

Essential requirements

High quality degree or MSC in a technical or numerate discipline - Renewable Energy or Electrical Engineering would be ideal.

Highly numerate and very tech savvy - expert user of M.S Powerpoint, Word, Excel.

Fluent English language skills with a very high standard of written English

5 or more year's experience in utility scale solar PV

Remuneration

The company has a performance based culture and is happy to make big bonus payments for success. The basic salary is negotiable but is anticipated to be in the range c.£40,000 - £55,000.
