Shift Operator - Control Room based
£25,000 - £35,000 plus benefits
We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Control Room Operator / Operations Technician / Asset Analyst / Process Operator, to monitor multiple energy generating sites from a central control room environment based in Oxford. You will be responsible for providing technical support and fault diagnosis to optimise assets within Landfill Energy. Our client is a leading organisation within the Power Generation industry, with the opportunity for a Control Room Operator to join their team.
As a Control Room Operator, you will be responsible for:
- 24/7 monitoring, control and remote start-up of plants across the UK
- Liaising with the Reactive Maintenance Technicians to re-route & call out where needed to bring assets back online
- Ensuring equipment performance is maximised through operations
- Lone working from a control room environment
- Being part of a shift rota to cover 24/7 operation
- Other duties as required
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have relevant experience working in a control room environment in an operations type role, preferably within Process, Power, Manufacturing or other control room based roles. You should have strong organisational & communication skills, SCADA controls experience is desirable and work well under pressure.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading organisation within the Power Generation / Renewable Energy industry, working in a reactive role which includes shift working on a 4 on 4 off basis (days & nights) to cover 24/7 operation.
The package on offer for this opportunity includes an attractive basic salary in the range of £25,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience), plus company benefits.
