Job Description

O&M Sales Manager - Solar Energy

Spencer Ogden has been enlisted by one of Europe's fastest growing renewable energy companies to help find them an O&M Sales Manager for their Solar O&M business unit.

The O&M Sales Manager will take responsibility for driving growth in our client's solar O&M business, from lead generation through the bidding and tendering phases to the negotiation and implementation of new O&M contracts. The successful candidate will be expected to play a strong role in the retention of existing clients as well as being instrumental in the acquisition of new business.

Some further requirements are as follows:

-Developing and implementing a sales strategy for our client's solar O&M business unit across EMEA and LATAM - further geographies may also fall under the remit of this person.
-Active pursuance of new customers for the O&M business, including the management or ownership of solar assets.
-Negotiation of O&M contracts and renegotiation of existing contracts.
-Supporting senior O&M management to develop new solutions for O&M business unit practices.
-Attend opportunities for brand promotion - tradeshows, conferences etc.
-Ensure that O&M Managers are supported with regard to commercial aspects of contracts management.

The O&M Sales Manager will need to have good experience selling services contracts in the renewable energy sector, preferably from within the solar PV industry. An ability to asses commercial opportunities and appropriately present our client's business proposition will therefore be essential.

Some further candidate requirements are as follows:

-Degree-educated from within engineering or a similar technical/mathematical field.
-Strong history of sales and business development success.
-Experience in the operation of solar energy assets will be considered an advantage.
-Strong and developed knowledge of the solar energy industry, including international market trends, stakeholders and competitors.
-Wind energy experience will be considered an advantage, but is not essential.
-A good understanding of accountancy principles and procedures.
-Excellent organisational skills.
-Microsoft office competence.
-Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
-Willingness to travel.
