Specialist Engineer - Thermal Hydrolysis
Up to £40,000 plus benefits

We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Chemical Engineer / Process Engineer / Mechanical Engineer, to investigate and analyse a range of operational & maintenance activities on state-of-the-art Thermal Hydrolysis equipment and associated Anaerobic Digestion plant initially across the Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Norfolk and South Yorkshire areas. Our client is a leading organisation within the Renewable Energy industry with the opportunity for a graduate Engineer to join their team in a field-based position.
As an Engineer, you will be working on:
- Installation, Commissioning, Operations & Maintenance on thermal hydrolysis equipment, hot oil heaters, air compressors, pumps, piping systems, solids conveying systems
- Troubleshooting, fault finding & rectification
- Plant trials, performance analysis, SOPs, technical specifications
- Investigating optimal efficiency of economizer and AD plant (hot oil exchangers, etc.) on the company's sites
- Health & safety (IOSH/NEBOSH)
- Plant operational & maintenance activities and plant improvements
- Other duties as required
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a relevant Engineering Degree (Chemical, Mechanical, etc.) and ideally have an interest in working with a new technology (Thermal Hydrolysis, THP). You should have prior experience working within a process environment (chemical, steel, food, oil & gas, etc.) and also have a good mechanical understanding of process and solids handling equipment.
The package on offer for this opportunity includes an attractive salary up to £40,000 (depending on experience) plus company benefits including pension, holidays, expenses, etc.
This is a permanent position and you will be required to travel across the Nottinghamshire, Norfolk, South Yorkshire & Lincolnshire areas, therefore a full UK driving licence is essential, as well as the flexibility to periodically stay away overnights.
